Think of the last time the loot pool was hit like this. Bungie smacked all that gear you earned during D1 Y1 away and in game TTK. With 2.5 years worth of loot being smacked away obviously I think they try and fill the crater that’ll be left there.

This. The exact same problem was occuring in D1, and boom, Taken King hits and we have one of the best times in Destiny.
