If they did that, there would be LOADS of disgruntled pve players complaining it’s too hard and these posts will FLOOD the forums. Grandmaster nightfalls also take SIGNIFICANTLY more time then a single trials match (typically). Punishing players for wiping in an already exhausting, punishing, and slow activity will more likely turn players away after several consecutive failures.

Oh I know cammycakes had a PvE tournament for the grandmasters where teams had to complete all 6 in a few hours without wiping. 10 teams entered only 3 teams finished. You'd have a week. And they could have it setup like trials I suppose where you have a "mercy". I personally think it would be amazing but I love challenge. Would it be for everyone? No. But not everything in destiny is made for everyone. Grandmasters are already aimed at a niche audience. I feel like more people would actually participate in them if this system was in place.
