SUNSETTING SUCKS: AFTER TWO WHOLE YEARS, I JUST NOW GOT MY FIRST OUTLAW/RAMPAGE WRONG SIDE OF RIGHT. ALWAYS WANTED ONE.

Sunsetting suck. Why cant they just make more powerful weapons AS they make HARDER ACTIVITIES? Make us WANT TO move on to better things. Seriously, two years just to get ONE decent roll on the Wrong Side of Right that isn't even a god roll. Bungie needs to SHOWER us with loot so we can get the good rolls early in their life cycle or it's not worth it. Edit: To the people saying, "Wrong Side of Right" isn't even that good: Yes, I know, that's not the point. It only illustrates that it will be possible to never get a decent roll of something you actually want in the proposed lifespan of sunset weapons. Look at the bigger picture.

  • Yep, I completely understand you. After 288 escalation protocols for my first Ikelos shotgun, 183 hollow lairs for my god roll mindbender, dismantling over 300 tranquility snipers till the one I wanted, killing riven 44 times for 1000 voices, doing scourge 68 times for anarchy, blowing up galarhand 32 times for tarrabah, about 50 gardens of salvation vex genocides to get the god rolled weapons there with still a god roll hand cannon and pulse rifle missing, doing over FOUR HUNDREAD insight terminus to get a god roll long goodbye, 500+ menagerie runs and still only have about 70% of the god rolls I want there and double that amount of runs in forges with still a blast furnace missing from my god roll collection I will state that there is no lack of exiting drop moments for me when I finally can stop the grind after getting my god roll. That's EVERY SINGLE WEAPON in my vault: a god roll with hours to months of farming behind it and is my sole drive to play the game. Now all of them will become obsolete in seasons to come thanks to sun setting. Try to put yourself in the shoes of collector players like me and many others and tell me why should I keep playing after this insult that is gear retirement? I sadly enjoy destiny very much since the launch of d1, but find myself unable to continue playing and moved over to other games that respect the time I put into them. To put it simple here is what I wanted for the game: in case I spent months offline and came back my reaction needed to be "Oh look how much new stuff I have to go after! More god rolls to chase, how do I get them, let me infuse my old god rolls to the new level so I can do the new activities (Strikes, raids, pvp, arenas, etc) and get the new weapons god rolls". Now for the love of god tell me WHY IS THIS such a bad thing for the players? Because this type of player seems to be what bungie hates the most and intentionally screws over the most. What I now have is this: "Ok, Im back after months, let me see what I missed... oh cant get them ever again... and my old gear, cant use it in new activities anymore... well I guess ill go back to check warframe then..."
