• I dont disagree generally, but 3 blues per match clogs up the inventory with garbage really fast. Crucible is pretty generous with loot in this case, but the loot is terrible.

 • The hell are you talking about “stingy”? I get a shower of legendary engrams every time I play, and even more blues. The problem imo isn’t that I’m not getting enough loot. The problem is most of it is shit, or the same shit I’ve been getting for years.

 • Destiny is stingy. Loot games like The Division 2, Borderlands 3 and Diablo 3 will give you more loot in a single encounter than you'll sometimes get in an entire play session of Destiny. Now alot of that stuff aren't things you want. But there is a certain level of generosity the game HAS to have in order for you to min-max, complete builds etc. Destiny has never met that standard. But the quality of the game play is enough to keep people playing and to put up with the frustration. Anthem ran into the same problem...and it was the straw that broke that game's back.

For weapons, armor and basic currency (glimmer and planetary materials), though, Destiny just showers you with stuff. I usually run with only 2-3 items in each inventory slot to start a play session, and if I don't religiously clean things out during load screens, stuff ends up going to the postmaster because I fill up so fast. And, I always try to have no more than 200K glimmer in inventory when I start, and two hours later I'm always bumping up against the limit and having to spend down. When I first started playing the game, I didn't know there was a glimmer limit, and saw some of the glimmer prices (like 50K for Ascendant Shards, not knowing it was the most expensive item in the game), so I didn't spend anything I didn't absolutely have to. By the second day (less than 8 total hours of playtime), I hit the glimmer limit, and had almost all my slots filled with stuff (not knowing about the vault, or what gear was good and what wasn't, so I didn't want to shard). That was long before I knew how to maximize glimmer and gear drops per hour of play.

 • The game is more generous now than it has been in years past, but it is not very generous by the standards of most loot games. Its why "Two tokens and a Blue" is a familiar meme to many Destiny vets.
