People really act like they got something taken away they paid for.
You didn't got anything taken away you paid for.

And you are literally all over the forum just trying to trigger people. Luke?

Black Armory was a paid DLC when it was released, so yes technically we did pay for the content.
-
Forsaken gear. Your argument is invalid.
-
What will happen to it?

Edited by Pr0t0Zer0: 5/29/2020 7:29:51 AMCant use it in gambit anymore without light disadvantage. Also same for iron bannner. Gear i paid for will no longer be usable in content that was released alongside or before it. Paid for gear is being taken out of viability for content. Not here to argue, just here to point out the false statement that "nothing you paid for is being taken from you." Its a strawman and incorrect so...
-
the gear that i grinded for end game content got taken away. The argument that our gear is still usable in 90% of the activities is pointless. You can run through entire strikes, gambit matches and arguable even crucible just by meleeing.

Edited by Pxmastaz: 5/28/2020 3:25:07 PMYou clearly don't know what you are talking about. I paid for D2 vanilla, and for every extension/season so far. So yeah, stuff i paid for is taken from me, because imo the main part of the game is high level content (raids, dungeons, nightfalls, ...). I won't be able to use most of my favorites weapons in these activities anymore, because Bungie decided so. No wonder why many players are REALLY mad at bungie right now. And i'm not even talking about the armor getting sunsetted as well, because ooooh boy that makes absolutly no sense, except if the point is to make us grind again for stuff we already have of course.

To start of:
No wonder why many players are REALLY mad at bungie right now.
People have been mad since day 1 of Destiny 1
You clearly don't know what you are talking about.
I am aware of how sunsetting works Let's make it quick:
I won't be able to use most of my favorites weapons in these activities anymore, because Bungie decided so.
You still can, they aren't as good as other weapons though. Thanks for listening

Wow your head is burried pretty deep my friend.
Wow your head is burried pretty deep my friend.
That is a classic "Your statements are right but your opinion is wrong". Nevertheless I wish you a good rest of the day
-
Well then i agree on our disagreement :D good day to you as well .

Not saying they're taking away something I paid for. Saying I'm not paying anymore if they keep this kind of thing (i.e. sunsetting) up. It's the people like me who've paid for the game that keep them in business. Especially with D1 and now that they not part of Activision.
-
Saying I'm not paying anymore if they keep this kind of thing
I mean it's you decision to make
-
People have paid for ornaments for legendaries being retired.
-
Oh well. Games shut down all the time and you have stuff in them you "paid" for. But you don't own anything that is digital, it is all leased (end user agreement). You paid for the right to use and experience it that is all. Any company can remove anything they want whenever they want, whether or not you spent money on it. The D1 servers could be shuttered tomorrow, all that stuff gone. Warframe creators DE could stop receiving funding from Sony once the PS5 launches and shutter their game on consoles or all together, everything gone. Meaning anything can happen enjoy what you have but know it is not yours.

Edited by Seiryoku: 5/28/2020 3:14:43 PM? Which is why the OP said he reserved the right not to spend his money on things of this nature in the future.
-
Yes but there are more people that will pay because they are not worried about keeping a digital in game item forever. I have bought plenty in D2, if it goes away it goes away. That won't stop me from spending in games, why would it. Imagine the hundreds of thousands of dollars that was probably spent inside Marvel Avengers Alliance. It was fun while we had it, just like food, it is tasty and then it is gone. With OPs mindset, might as well not purchase anything ever again. Simplified yes but reality has always been this way.

If you're content with with purchases being temporal, that's fine. Spend your money. His mindset is easily just as valid. If they want his money and the money of people that share his feelings and opinions, they might think twice about their immediately available solutions and who it alienates. Perhaps resulting in better choices in design going forward. Saying he should just not purchase anything cause all things will eventually cease to be, is asinine.

I know
-
In a way they are, they paid for the silver to buy ornaments for a gun that Bungie doesn't want us to use anymore.
-
Do they disable the ornament you paid for?
-
They make the gun so it's useless in most content, so essentially they're sunsetting the ornaments. I'm not going to debate semantics with someone who obviously is looking for a desperate reason to defend sunsetting. Bungie wants you to not use guns anymore, people paid money for ornaments for said gear thus Bungie wants you to dispose of ornaments you paid for. Spin it any way you want for your agenda, Bungie is sunsetting paid for cosmetics. I'm not saying what they're doing is wrong for the health of the game, but to bury your head in the sand and state that they're not having something they've paid for taken away is just denying facts.
