But they're not removing them. You can still use them to crush people in the casual quickplay playlist, where all new players will go to try out destiny pvp arena. Quickplay is a hot mess now with super try hard meta wielding players. Just wait until the first F2P of year 4 tries out crucible and gets smoked by a revoker, beloved, Summoner or Mind Bender.

That is the one place weapons will still have value that isn't worthless, pointless, dead content.
