As far as I know it happens randomly and is not an exploitable glitch.

It's usually exploited by opposing team against top scorer on your teamso you can't get any kills or take Zones. I try running around dropping barricades on them and throwing 'nades when it's done to me.

you mean lag switching? This isn't quite the same, your character goes invisible and only abilities will do damage, but you can still die if you get in the way of someone shooting. It happens randomly even if you have good internet, but it is pretty rare. Might be a recurring issue lately because something happening with the servers, but I haven't seen or experienced it in a few years
