Of course there should be optional matchmaking. For everything.
Opt in to use it.
Don’t opt in or opt out if you don’t want to use it.

What happens when some one rage quits? The whole thing falls apart? Wait for another random to fill the spot? Usually when it's an lfg raid, there is a leader. Who leads a lfg raid? What if no one wants to lead or if everyone doesn't know what to do? This is probably why Bungie doesnt bring it about. It would be a worse experience for most that try it. Sure some may beat it but it would be rare.
