1. Never use their Super during a Strike or Reckoning or Survival. They sit on it to the very end, just-in-case... if you can win without it, it’s better than using it. 2. Rarely equip the required Champion beating Mods or Abilities in match-made Ordeal Nightfalls oh please. In matchmade nightfalls, anyone can kill a champion without mods. 3. They don't generate Orbs in Strike or think it's important, because they barely use their Super (see 1) it takes about 200-300 orbs to get one super. Orbs are in no way important whatsoever. 4. They are oblivious to Invaders in Gambit Prime thats probably because they have two primaries and a sword and can’t do anything about the invader. 5. They kill the THIRD WIZARD (Envoy) in Gambit Prime when an Invader is present its YOUR job, as a competent player, to kill the invader IMMEDIATELY. 6. They rush to quickly revive team-mates just killed by an Invader, so they can be killed again no one EVER revives in gambit 7. They rush headlong towards enemies in PvE or PvP, quickly die, re-spawn then rush headlong towards the enemy again... because not doing this makes stuff take longer and gets boring fast. 8. They rarely cap zones in Control or Iron Banner "cos slayin'" is more important no one caps zones. Why? Because winning is not important, ever. What’s important is how many kills you can get to complete bounties or pinnacle quests. 9. The ones who do cap zones sprint towards those just captured and away from those that need capturing they aren’t actually trying to cap them 10. They get as close as they can to Boss or Major stomps and never take cover from repeat boss DoT or Burn attacks this is only bad if you don’t know what you’re doing. Any obvious ones i've missed or you'd like to add? EDIT 1: 11. Rush to destroy the boss in Public Events before experienced players can turn the event Heroic (Aagghh!) ill be honest here, I break out xenophage and kill the boss as fast as possible. Why? Because heroic gives you nothing, and just takes longer. 12. Rush to destroy the boss at the end of an Ordeal Nightfall before experienced players can get an easy 100K points and a PINNACLE REWARD (Aaaaaaaggghhhh!!!) why the heck do you care about score? It’s all about completing the strike as fast as possible.
Everything you just said isn’t what new lighters do, it’s what new lighters DONT. Most of the time I come across a new player, they’re doing everything you said, which is bad. Although there is one I’ll add for you: 13: use their primary weapon in PvP.

  • Heroic public events do give you something. There is a flashpoint and it gives you more progress for heroic. So if the flashpoint is on the planet youre doing a PE on, and you quickly finish it as normal, you are making it take longer for other people to get their flashpoint done. Consider other people in the PE before you finish it.

  • If you’re doing the flashpoint, you should be running heroic adventures.

Wow, you are wrong in so many of your judgements I wouldn't know where to begin...you must be a teenager... Just picking one - "why the heck do you care about score? It’s all about completing the strike as fast as possible" NOT WHEN YOU COULD EASILY GET 100K AND A PINNACLE REWARD. 100k SCORE = PINNACLE, COMPRENDEZ-VOUS?! What kind of dumbo would forego a Pinnacle reward in favor of "completing the strike as fast as possible"?

  • In what universe would you need a pinnacle drop? People say pinnacles let you do ordeals. So you do ordeals to get pinnacles to do ordeals to get pinnacles? Seems like a pointless cycle to me.

Wrong again. Getting the highest level gear allows you to build towards the next level of Ordeal in order to get more enhancement prisms and ascendant shards to Masterwork your best armor pieces to maximise your stats. Masterworking Armor, both legendary and Exotic IS the end-game in D2 NEXT: "if you can win without it, it’s better than using it [super]" - so wrong it's laughable. Every time I use my Super I generate fat orbs for my teammates so they can use their supers earlier...to create fat orbs so I can get my Super quicker and generate fat orbs. Chaining Supers is FUN, and get's the job done. It racks up points, kills and the orbs trigger all those Class item perks like instant health and ability regen...a key part of the game. Choosing to not use your Super many times per activity is idiotic. It explains why so many randoms fail the Bridge stage of the Reckoning I don't know what game you've been playing to form so many bad conclusions. It clearly wasn't Destiny. Whatever it was you need to adjust those pre-conceptions....

  • Masterworking armor, not only is it time consuming, but also a waste. And as for orbs, they do nothing now. It takes about 100 orbs to get one super.

Masterworking Armor is the end-game, that's the only purpose there is to it once the new activities have been fully experienced. It isn't pointless, it maximises the stats you want to have in your build And there are two types of Orb - small and big. Large Orbs that come from Super kills refresh your super bar very efficiently

  • Depending on the armour you are master working it is a waste of time. If you get a high stat armour this season and plan to masterwork go ahead, armour from the last wish and garden of salvation it’s no big deal. Anything prior is a waste of time and resources, the armour is going to have an infusion limit and won’t be able to go into high light level activities. I suggest hoarding materials until September to get the most out of your armour
