You can try to work with Sony/Steam support to get a refund. Keep in mind, IF they refund you and pulling the silver back from your account will take a few days and if you spend any of it you will break your account.

As long as you have not spent ANY of the silver. Similar thing happened to me awhile back with the GTA shark cards. I used the amount that i was originally going to purchase and left the rest alone thinking it would be no problem to refund it as i have not used the extra that was purchased. Nope! sony turned round and said because i have spent some of it (even the originally intended amount) that it was no longer able to be refunded

I’d have went to my credit card company if Sony had told me that. Purchasing an item multiple times due to an error in the purchasing system isn’t something that’s remotely acceptable.
