The darkness is insidious and uses us against ourselves. Guardian games, how did the idea get into the minds of the Vanguard? Titans against Hunters and Warlocks; the start of our downfall? The darkness claimed to be our salvation. It's going to persuade us that the traveller was wrong to raise us using ghosts and that we would be better resting in peace. The Drifter didn't want to be risen (lore man with no name). I think his gambit game of gathering dark energy is may be to use against the traveller. He says he is storing dark energy 'to release it'.

The nightmares are like echoes of our past. Lamented failures. Unrealized gain, lost to the darkness. The bane of our success. And to the enemy, a reminder of immeasurable loss. Warlocks will indeed unite the Guardian classes. But when an uprising occurs, a schism becomes inevitable. The Vanguard succession line lacks the promise the System needs. WE cannot count on a future in which the traveler and our ghosts guard our light. We must look inward. We must become light. We must embody it. But when we do-so by the whim of curiosity, the limit of our disposition is fated to morph. A division of classes and skills, unprecedented, will be the result. Chaotic Splintering, as Asher often muttered, will occur when the guardian invokes spontaneous Ki. The result of applying creative will to the energy invoked in a Guardian's ability, has the potential to wipe nightmares from our existence. But do we become the villains we have slain? Or do we ascend to the role of cosmic mediator. Are we judge and jury, for all life that does not conform to Vanguard policy? The nightmare is a reflection of the future this chaos holds, and the chaos that is in store for us all, if we continue down this path of bloody destiny. An unstoppable force, never before reckoned. Bourne of the shadows of guilt and regret, for though they were vanquished, the war they fought is never over; they remain. Haunting us. Eris knows what this means for the future of the City, the System, and the realms beyond our own galaxy. The key is in the past. Which is the present. All encompassing. The door to the future hides beneath the pathways into Darkness. It will all make sense in The Light, when Darkness Falls again. (Disclaimer: the preceding statements were not evaluated by the Vanguard, The Architects, or Jason Jones's Ghost, although I hear the shell is exquisite!) Remember that I was here. But know that I am not the one. Reaper and Insidious send their regards. And to the Drifter, a civil disregard; etched on a tag: |<) VVW
