Pretty good analysis. Titans won because the mechanics of the contest were slanted in their favor. They had more---and easier---ways to generate laurels. Plus the medals and bounties get done faster if you do them with people of the same class rather with other classes. So there was even more benefit to running as a Titan. As is often the case with Bungie, the first iteration of an activity doesn't seemed to be thought through all the way. Had laurel generation just been tied to KILLS....and Bungie hadn't tried to micro-manage everything down to the tiniest detail....I think this would have gone over better, and the competition closer and more interesting.
