I wish I liked Will of the Wisps, but personally I was really disappointed.
Love Blind Forest, though!

Understandable, though was there any aspect you didn’t like? Did it just not live up to the first?

It just felt so.. Bland, and generic. None of the levels were as memorable, the story was predictable, Ku just felt like a damsel in distress, the sidequests detracted from the main story without really adding anything of their own, the new powers were all rather boring, etc. It’s not bad by any means, but not really good either. It falls into that pile of games that just don’t really evoke anything out of me one way or the other. Maybe I’ll replay it some day, and have a better outlook on it, but at the end of my first playthrough I was really underwhelmed. Art & sound design is still amazing, of course.

I can see where you’re coming from, yeah. It’s an Ori game, so I didn’t really go into it with great story expectations. Abilities were really fun to me though, combining all the movement felt nice.
It’s an Ori game, so I didn’t really go into it with great story expectations.
This is exactly why I went into it with great story expectations. The first Ori game has an amazing story, imo!
Abilities were really fun to me though, combining all the movement felt nice.
I probably would’ve liked the abilities more if the new ones weren’t all just situational. The grapple needs grapple points, the water/sand movement needs water/sand, etc.
