As you do not own Forsaken on PC, you cannot complete Forsaken quests while playing on PC. As you found out, completing a step of a quest already in your inventory, when you do not have access to that content on that platform, causes the quest to disappear. If you cannot play the game on your PS4, then you will need to purchase Forsaken from Steam, so that you can properly access that content while on Steam. This is not a bug. As game licenses do not transfer between platforms, players need to purchase any paid content that they wish to play, for each platform on which they are wanting to play it. Platform holder companies require a license for their respective platforms, and do not offer the ability to share licenses across differing platforms.

  • Thank you for your response. I do have to disagree with your comment on me not being able to complete forsaken quests. I can just barely manage to grab the quest on my PS4 (due to how bad it is) then I can complete requirements for it on my PC. For instance, if the exotic quest needs me to go get 25 kills, I can do it on PC and it counts as progress. This just makes me think, "How can I do this, but not do the Malfeasance quest".

  • You can disagree with me, but the information I provided is correct. You will not be able to complete the quest for Malfeasance, while playing on Steam, without owning Forsaken on Steam. While some steps of expansion based quests may be able to progress while playing on a platform where the expansion is not owned, you will ultimately hit a progression stopper. Which you have already experienced. Your choices are: - Struggle through the quest on PS4 - Purchase Forsaken for Steam, and complete the quest on Steam - Opt to do without the quest/weapon

  • I have accepted the fact that I cannot complete this specific exotic quest, but other ones that require Forsaken I have been able to complete fully on PC. It just confuses me why I can complete those but then for this one it has an issue. It would make a lot more sense if those other exotic quests had issues as well, but they don't. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I was able to complete exotic quests, completely, without any progression stops, and even turn them in on PC and get the weapon on PC, but then I cannot do it for this one. Sure, I know I do not have the DLC, but the whole gist behind what I am saying is that it's just confusing why I can fully complete other exotic, Forsaken quests, but then I have an issue with this one. I have never had an issue like this on my PC regarding Forsaken quests.

  • Which other Forsaken related exotic quests are you referring to, when you say that you were able to complete them on Steam, without owning the expansion there? If there is a discrepancy that allows some to function, but not others, specifics will help in reporting that to the devs.

  • For example, I am able to complete the Jotunn quest requirements and then even get the gun. I can pick the quest up on PS4 because when I try to on pc it says requires forsaken, then I can complete the entire quest on pc.

  • Jotunn is no longer locked to Forsaken, as the forges were made part of the New Light free-to-play portion of the game. That is why you were able to complete that quest without owning Forsaken on Steam.

  • You wanna know something funny, I just played another match and the servitor was there and we killed it and won. The game is honestly mocking me at this point. Also that is just one of the examples I could find. There are many more. Honestly, I don’t even care at this point. This game is a massive cash grab anyways.

  • My guess would be that the other exotic quests you say that you completed, were also not locked to Forsaken. If you really want the weapon, wait for the expansion to go on sale, and buy it for Steam.

  • Ok so I bought it and the quest still isn't at the drifter. There is no way I can get it still.
