The point of Armor 2.0 was for the player base to refarm armor all over again. You aren't meant to actually complete a set. Thus the reason BungLe has turned a blind eye to any changes.

I think the whole system is fundamentally flawed. The last two seasons are prime examples. The charged with light stuff and the warmind cell stuff...some interesting builds possible, BUT, I think for many people, the lack of availability of the resources required to regularly upgrade gear prevents stuff like that from being used or experimented with. It's a waste of development time really. Not to mention element change costs they've recently added. Then there's the actual stat rolls themselves...there's no goal or road to progress and improve your gear at all..because it's entirely rng dependent on drops within a fairly narrow range, thus leading to having to just make do with what you've got...sometimes for ages. NO real goal or means to make actual progress...no path that players can say ok I need to do a, b and c to improve this stat or this piece or gear...it's not a good design, I don't think, and the gameplay loops that underpin it don't make it engaging or satisfying.
