Please don't delete your character in an attempt to test out a fix for the Watercress error. We are actively looking into the issue but don't currently have a resolution yet. We know it's a result of having too many "player sessions" opened. This basically means that when you quit Destiny 2 your session for that time played should go away, but this doesn't happen for a small number of players on Xbox.
Unfortunately, the only [i]current[/i] resolution is to play your account on another platform with Cross Save.

I do think that those of us that has the ability to use another platform with Cross Save should not have to BUY the games add on's like Shadowkeep, Forsaken, and season of the worthy add on's, if we have already bought them for our XBox's. Step up BUNGIE and help your players that have been with you a long time, as from the beginning. It's bad enough that some of us have to spend a couple of hundred dollars to upgrade our video cards to play the game with good graphics, and then have to pay for the game again. PLEASE Bungie HELP us out, if you can not get the game fixed, which I have been having problems for over 3 weeks now.

I do not have another platform but I AM CONSIDERING ANOTHER GAME. You guys are WEAK on content and rare on fixing issues. If you had share holders I would propose outsourcing to INDIA. We paid a LOT for the game. FIX IT!!!! I am unsure if I have cross save enabled but I doubt it since I only use my xbox for D2....FOR NOW. You wanted to be free of Activision. YOU ARE. But so far...where's the advantage?

??? Interesting response if you know the issue. You control the sessions, you control the session data, you know where it is. If it's as simple as you're saying, then on that error purge the currently open sessions. It'll punt the player to the start screen, but they can then login and shouldn't have a queue of active but disconnected sessions causing the issue. One interesting observation. How many users have reported this without cross save enabled? I'm out until your fix because its watercress 100% of the time I try to login, but none of my friends on Xbox One without cross save experience this. Is this an anomaly, or pertinent?

I've looked at the profiles of people discussing this on the forums here, and plenty are Xbox-only players. No other accounts linked or associated with their Bungie accounts.

Was only a suggestion. That said it doesn't stop Bungie resetting dormant session, unless they have some ridiculously byzantine method to connect the client and server. Clearly there's a limit, and it should not be hard to identify accounts at that limit, and it shouldn't be hard to know when the last activity occurred on that session. So whack half the sessions with the longest inactive time.

Well is there plans to extend the season for the people who were affected.? Or how about issuing refunds in the season pass ? No I didn’t think so , I guess trials loot is more important then this issue because streamers are complaining about it right ?

Bungie has ALWAYS catered to the SWEATIES. NOT spending another dime on these LOSERS. They PROMISED change with Activision Exit but all I have seen is stuff made on old maps. No new really new content and no fixing of the errors. If I were a shareholder I would vote to OUTSOURCE PROGRAMMING TO INDIA where at least they answer a phone call.
