Yes I would love 4th slot added. It devalues the item and time and effort I put into game, to just render them useless.

Honestly, it doesn't have to devalue them. It obviously does though to differing degrees, because not all exotics are good. Some are good enough that it still makes sense to use them over a legendary regardless. One silver lining is the lack of the extra slot makes the exotic a good place to use the costlier general mods like Special or Heavy Ammo Finder

But they drop in the 50 range overall which lowers your overall stats right now. The fourth slot is a power slot. And I feel that not having it makes exotics unappealing. I see your point, but prefer to be at least of equal value. Shouldn't drop overall stats.

They [b]can[/b] drop in the 50 range. They don't always drop in that range. Far from it. As a percentage of the armour that drops, a much higher percentage of legendary drops are in the 50s than exotic drops are in the 50s. But regardless, the exotics that are unappealing are not good enough and need changes. They need perk adjustments more so than a seasonal slot. But if they go the route of the seasonal slot, they'll have us farming new versions of the same exotics season after season while many of them remain total garbage even with that slot. I'd rather Bungie gave me a reason to wear armour aside from "I already bought the ornament" [spoiler]like The Stag.[/spoiler] In that case, the cost of the seasonal slot for 1 piece in a 5 piece set of armour can be spent on the benefits of the exotic park. RPGs usually involve some give and take for meaningful choice. And the exotics can remain [b]permanently [/b]relevant. But the idea of having me farm at least 3 versions of only Ophidian Aspect and Transversive Steps every season probably fills Bungie with immense joy. EDIT Of course, I don't actually mind if they add the 4th slot at all. I'd just also hope it's universal. But I can understand why they don't have that slot as of now

I'm getting legendary drops with a 60- 65 power level. My exotics are 50- 55 range. So I can boost legendary drops to 75 with mods, but exotics cap at 65, with same mods, but minus 4th mode slot which is power slot????
