I was helping a friend do the wish-ender quest, he was trying to deliver the talisman every time he examined the statue his game would freeze then crash before the bar would fully fill up. I tried the exact same thing (I even have completed the questline before) and attempting to do so resulted in a freeze and a crash as the bar almost filled up (pic related).
