Chapter XI The Goblins turned in mechanical cadence. Their eyes glowed the brightest red, their blank stare infinite. This only startled Zeta as she stopped, heart beating ten fold. The Minotaur awakened. It’s mechanical scream yelled attack. The Goblins advance toward her, but she had regained her confidence. Zeta lifted herself up into the air, then as electricity crackled on her hands, a boom was felt and thunder was heard. The Vex screamed, as they where consumed by this earthquake of lightning. The Minotaur only stared. Calculating. It turned and raised it’s arm. The pillar on the top floor all of a sudden, surged with Arc light. It flowed to the Minotaur’s hand, as it thrust it at the ground, creating yet another earthquake that made Zeta stumble. Zeta’s ghost stated, “That pillar is feeding Arc light to that Vex! We have to destroy it!” Ash chuckled. “Ready, Guardian?” Quill nodded. He emerged and leaped into the air. He grabbed his Rose and held it high above his head as he was engulfed in the brightest flame. In his hand, Quill held a star that could eradicate the impossible. He aimed at the Minotaur’s metal skull and fired. A fiery, blazing line cut straight through the machine’s eye, but it remained alive. Zeta looked upon the Hunter with the blazing gun, eyes gleaming in wonder and thanks. The Minotaur thrust it’s bladed arm toward them, but Quill got a shot off right in it’s pod. The body split in two as the top half landed behind them. The Vex retreated, attempting to take the machine with them but witnessing it’s destruction by blazing, solar gunfire. The ghost fell from the balcony and was caught by Zeta. She urged her ghost over. He scanned, “There was just enough light left for the Minotaur to use. I’m afraid this Ghost is lost.” Ash looked down in gloom, “Well, at least they can rest. Right?”
