Ether is a form of light. Plus we don’t fully know if they were empowered like the guardians by the light

Ether is not light and there was nothing like ghost to make guardians before us.

They just can’t die to keep it. 4) the speakers words. Everything has light in it. The fallen most likely can benefit from light abilities. Bungie has yet to ally guardians and fallen properly. We can’t prove who is right or wrong as of yet.

The Traveler made the ether on their planet more abundant, that does not make ether light. Sevitors are mobile platforms capable of multiple roles, they where made by the fallen, the only connection they have with the Traveler and ghosts is that they are round and float. The fallen are long lived just like the cabal are long lived, the Traveler only made it more plentiful. So now people take what the speaker says as truth? Never mind he said it to an enemy that was torturing him for information. From the beginning the Speaker has been leading Ghaul in circles, why would he suddenly tell him the truth? Also, if everything had the light humans would not need the Traveler to have increased lifespans, intellect or create the golden age and the vex would not be able to simulate the universe with such accuracy. Anyone should be able to benefit from a guardian using the abilities of the Light, if the guardian wants them to benefit, they can chose what the light affects and how it affects it, well at least when it comes to living beings. I cannot see why guardians would ally with the one enemy that has done the most harm to humanity short of the Darkness itself but whatever.

The traveler also repeats what the speaker says to the young wolf. So yes, everything has the light in it, but it can be corrupted. The fallen arent. The scorn are.
