You do realize you just mentioned every activity and the basis of Destiny? Do the same activities over and over pointlessly in order to get loot. As for Hardcore? Maybe not so much but let’s talk about Powerful Gear and Pinnacle Gear? Is there a real reason for this? Should Pinnacle Gear be removed and just all gear should go back to leveling us up? I personally believe so. For instance a friend of mine just spent 3 pinnacle activities (GoS one of them) and received 3 energy weapons (very sad rng but it happens to us all at one point or another) but imagine you not wanting to play at all because you get on, find yourself needing that level up for the next activity you want to do and... oops you can’t because you’re 15-20 Power under level. How can you reach that without Pinnacle Gear? Can’t. Would it be nice to? Sure. Does the Pinnacle Gear make you want to keep playing, sometimes. Most of the time (I personally) get on and instantly get bored because there’s ONLY pinnacle activities I’m interested in since reaching a level cap (think they should remove this since there’s an artifact now to spoil those looking for more power for more gameplay) What’s the point of doing any of the powerful gear activities anymore if none of those drops are ever powerful? People say to “fill in the gaps” but that gets done with loot drops during the activity not the reward for completing. Like: what’s the point of clearing the Legendary Lost Sectors after reaching Power 1000 for “Powerful Gear” 0 incentive. 0 reward. 0 reason to continue grinding the Seasonal Activity for lack of rewards to “possibly” have a Pinnacle Drop from what is it level 7 Bunker? Or just wait til next season and hope for Bungie to have a better business model going forward
