Wait, Hold the phone.
“PERCEIVED” issues?
WHAT!?!??
How condescending can you no talent asshats be?!?!?
Getting a slayer medal on a single player as they insta-respawn in your face faster than you can kill them isn’t an issue of “perception”
A player with a 280+ KDA instakilling the entire lobby over and over again with infinite novabombs that despite being thrown at his feet kill across the map? Not an issue of perception.
A player with prior Vac bans, a weekly trials KD 5x that of their lifetime kd, and a 100% headshot ratio on the week, bot walking around the map, but headshotting literally every enemy player the instant they have a pixel exposed at any angle.... isn’t an issue of perception.
The mere fact that you expect the community to do YOUR job for you and spend time accumulating evidence so that you might eventually, potentially hand out a ban is laughable. Especially since it takes less time to create a new f2p account and start hacking again than it does to file the report....
The only “perception” issue here is YOUR perception of how things work from atop your VERY high horse right now.
Don’t you DARE insult the community like that when the community puts exponentially more effort into improving the game than you ever do!
If you keep this up you won’t be in business long!

So you think they should monitor every moment of every match from every player's point of view? And evidently you don't understand why they can't go into details about their anti-cheating techniques. Did you miss the part where they talk about how many cheaters get caught and that they are trying to find an acceptable way to inform us about it? It must be tiring to be so angry.
-
No, I think they need to admit that cheating is rampant and that their anti cheat solution isn’t even beginning to solve the issue. Then they need to implement a pay wall so that hackers can’t be back at it in mere minutes after the ban
-
Sort like... "Our anti-cheat is not as “visible” (by design) as some security products. However, we regularly detect and remove thousands of malicious accounts from the PvP ecosystem. On the front lines we continue to implement new anti-cheat improvements during patch releases (we don’t include these in the patch notes for obvious reasons), and are always investigating new approaches as cheat developers adapt to our latest tech. Many of the cheats you may find in the wild already have detections and countermeasures deployed or in development, with work being done constantly to keep them updated against new threats. Because cheat developers don’t stop, we know we have to keep working to improve these systems." Do people even read the TWAB?
-
That is in no way an admission of a rampant cheating issue, nor is it an admission of their anti cheat not even scratching the surface of the problem. They are basically saying “our strategy is working and we are continuing our strategy” while the community, who actually play the game, is saying “no the -blam!- it’s not working try something different”
-
So saying that they've banned thousands of accounts isn't admitting there is rampant cheating? And he says they are constantly working on new ways to combat cheating. Seriously, what more do you want him to say?
-
I want him to admit that their system isn’t remotely close to good enough. This whole twab is basically “the way we handle cheaters is fine”
-
No it is not. He said they are constantly trying to improve it. He said that they are working with platform providers to improve it. He said they are trying to improve the reward structure, address farming, and reduce disconnect problems. All this is an admission that there are problems. Nothing he could say is going to satisfy you.
-
He’s literally saying “we are doing the same thing we have been” Nothing there is new. Trying the same thing and expecting different results satisfies you? Because I’m pretty sure that just means you are clinically insane lol
-
So what new thing should he mention? He says they're always doing new things, specifically stated that hackers are always working on new ways to cheat that Bungie must respond to. What do you want him to say... "we've decided to push the button that will stop all cheating"?
-
Him vaguely saying “we are always trying new things but so are hackers”. Literally means nothing. He’s saying “we are doing the same thing that isn’t working” without providing any dialogue. There needs to be a Paywall,
-
He’s literally saying “we are doing the same thing we have been” Nothing there is new. Trying the same thing and expecting different results satisfies you? Because I’m pretty sure that just means you are clinically insane lol
I completely agree with you. There is never an actual straight admission of guilt or incompetence. But there will always be the blind defenders. Just ignore them.

people should realise that we all are in an state of crisis where half of the working population have to distance themselves by staying at home and have limited equipment to work from so is not the time to hit hard at the devs they work hard enough to give us the best entertainment with the equipment they have got until this crisis blows over we all have to band together and is that what guardians are for and this is coming from an guy that worked between four jobs including writting reports for news letters and producing an radio advert by doing all the writting; producing and the directing and plus the promoting to local radio stations and guess what people respected me that lead to winning the international volunteer award 2002 so some of you should be greatful on what the team at bungie does to provide entertainment so please show some respect and get of the cool aid because we all hurting from this crisis this isn't the time for in-fighting the devs or ourselves otherwise it will be cat's and dog's living together mass hysteria.
-
Don't give me that bullsheit. I work for a high tech Fiber optics company and we have all the latest tools necessary at our finger tips to work from home. They are a High tech company as well and if they cant be productive working from home then that just further proves how incompetent their leadership is.

Bungie Warned me for posting this lol what a bunch of scared shits https://drive.google.com/file/d/16wq08nkYZxy0FZDlSB13NcyOmwxst6CV/view?usp=drivesdk

can you elaborate and it is not bs as you are proclaiming you should try getting a job in the gaming industry to see how long you can last and don't come all that bs nonsense that i have heared the same old tired rubbish by using forums from the last 10 years so nothing shocking to me .

Have you heard of ZOOM or WEBEX?
-
Edited by Demon_XXVII: 4/4/2020 5:50:16 PMZoom is an appalling piece of bug riddled open door access malware crap It’s been criticised for a range of privacy issues, including sending user data to Facebook, wrongly claiming the app had end-to-end encryption (its an open bloomin’ door), and allowing meeting hosts to track attendees. Then there’s the new phenomenon of 'zoombombing' which sees uninvited guests join video conferences, usually to shout abuse, share pornography or make racist remarks. finding out the details of the meetings either via links that have been shared publicly on social media platforms or websites or, in some cases, by simply guessing the nine digit ID code (or if you’re Boris, you unintentionally tweet the bloomin ID out via an image) At least WebEx fixed their latest hiccup (where an “unauthenticated" attendee sitting on a workstation far, far away to join a "password-protected meeting without providing the meeting password" via a browser - the user goes to the meeting link in a browser – [for which the meeting ID is needed]. The browser then launches the Webex app, and it is within this flow that the vulnerability could be exploited.)
-
zoom is an video web conferencing site
-
Yes its called a collaboration tool meaning you can accomplish the sames things via zoom as you can face to face. I also guarantee that my job is ten time harder then any dumbass writing code for a game.
-
but would you say that to an special effects artist by proclaiming that my job is harder than yours absolutely not you will get destroyed by them to say they work more hours and under intens preasure to make sure that everything runs smooth and world war code crackers begg to differ with this rebuttle .
-
Right. So we gonna ignore the countless times they've acted like this BEFORE this pandemic?
-
i stated this is not the time to complain where people are reducing to stay at home during this difficult time of urgancy that just be rational that's all and be patient until everythings safe to return i am not defending anyone if i was then they will invite me over to their studios in seattle but sadly i am not important enough i am just some guy with an rational mind to tell people to reamain patient and calm .
-
Why do you type like that? Shits hard to read. Regardless, they should either come out and tell us that that releasing these patches is too hard in this situation. Or they should make their patches work and actually -blam!-ing try to be decent devs
-
Interesting, you don't think they're capable of remote working? It's a fuking PC and some software. They can fix shit and create shit from the damn toilet. Get your head outta your ass and stop defending these assholes.
