I fully get the hate towards the rampant cheating in Trials. What I don't get is the average players losing matches against better (sweaty) players and complaining about it. Is it because of the entitled snowflake generation wanting to be magically good at everything without practicing? You don't get better by playing against shitty opponents, I was god awful when I first started playing D2 PvP due to my limited understanding of movement and map knowledge, but losing to better players has never been a reason to complain, get better or get out, nobody becomes the best at something without putting in the time and effort. TL;DR: Cheaters are toxic for the game, sweaty streamers are not, stop whining and work on your skills.

  •
Many streamers are toxic.
Why? Because they use meta loadouts and stomp bad players? Are they supposed to use shit weapons just because other people are worse at the game?

  • It’s because trials has no SBMM. Any competitive mode NEEDS it. Imagine playing ranked in a game like Rainbow Six. You’re an average or slightly above average (Gold 1-3) and you almost ONLY match with Diamond ranked players... yeah, they’re better than you, and it’s not fun. And it never will be.

  • Trials definitely has sbmm, i watch TV, fallout, kackis all play trials and they dont face players nearly as good as what i do and its insane how easy it is for them to get flawless while i play the top 3% players

  • It's not sbmm, the population pool is low and getting even lower which leads to screwed up matchmaking. What's happening is the card based match matchmaking is screwed up where flawless teams are matched up against weak teams early on not later thus casuals cannot earn anything. It's not a competition if you ask pro football team to play a high school team. That sort of design is predatory in nature which leads to toxic behaviour. Of course we all know that's exactly what's happening in this forum.

Also streamers need newbish players to make their streams work otherwise they are not having fun beating on scrubs. I personally don't need to git gud as I'll never play. But I will enjoy watching posts by the toxic trials players.

Watching steamers get destroyed by cheaters is funny because we all knew the cheaters we're going to pc and they decided to play on pc anyway. Its karma and i laugh every time i see them get wrecked.

  • Or the more relaxed gamers could just quit out - which is what they're doing. As a result, you're getting the sweaty mode you're advocating for, with sweaty players. Only - they don't really want to play sweats themselves.

  • We should all just stay away from trials and let these elitist players get what they deserve.
