Hi there. Do you have the Essence of Despair in your Quests?
If not, look at your Quests tab and in the bottom left corner of the screen, what numbers does it show?

I do not have that quest in my list. I have 25 current quests. Number at the bottom-left is 46/63.

If you don't know how to clear your cache, here are instructions: 1. Quit your game and properly shut down your console (not power save/rest mode) 2. Unplug the power cord and wait up to 10 minutes 3. Plug the power back in and start up your console

Edited by GrundleBeans: 4/2/2020 9:12:07 PMSeeing the screenshots you posted, it looks like you still have Phantasmal Particles to collect from Nightmares around the Scarlet Keep. "Runes" sounds like you're collecting something else. If after killing a bunch of Nightmares you aren't getting any more Particles and the quest won't progress when you go back to Eris, clear your console cache and try again.

I had followed the directions on clearing the cache prior to this attempt. Thank you.

Be aware that after you get the first mission complete mission, there's another step to go to a spot in the Sorrow's Harbor to survey the area. Edited by GrundleBeans: 4/2/2020 10:06:32 PMThe items that drop from Nightmares in Sorrow's Harbor appear as Phantasmal Particles when you pick them up. Make sure you're not pulling out your Ghost and holding Y before the mission is complete, which would cause you to abandon it prematurely. Let me know if there are any other issues you're currently experiencing, such as error codes or other missions/quests that keep repeating and can't be progressed.
