Destiny 1 veteran new to destiny 2
Hey Guardians!
Recently I got Destiny 2 for free and so far im enjoying it. The reason I never got it since release was because college came and had no time to even start my ps4. So now that I was able to get the game for free, im looking for people to show me what’s new and how to reach the level cap. I know I still have to purchase the new expansions and im willing to do so if im able to relive those moments from D1 and seem worth it. So anyone willing to give me a hand and it’s on the ps4,I would greatly appreciate it.

D1 veteran here, I can say that it is only fun with some Friends goofing around.. Nothing like d1 for sure. [spoiler]missing my -blam!-ing space magic feeling[/spoiler]

Howdy there. D1 Hunter here. My opinions on D2 are fairly middle of the road. I don’t hate it, but it’s not as good as it could be. However, I still enjoy playing it. Long story short, it’s improved a lot since D1, but it has the same issues as back then. [u]The Good:[/u] The weapons, armor, subclasses, and general gameplay have been dramatically improved. The game is very fun to play. More so than D1, in my opinion. [u]The Bad:[/u] There is still very little to do other than replay the same activities over and over. Granted, the gameplay is fun, but it can get repetitive. [u]The Ugly:[/u] Bungie still manages to make decisions that cause a commotion in the community, who never fail to voice their opinions. Depending on how much you care, this could be an issue. [u]The Nonexistent:[/u] Story? This game has a story? I think you mean the lore, my friend. Destiny 2 doesn’t really have a story. (To be fair, the story is definitely better than D1’s was, but that’s not saying much.) At the end of the day, I enjoy D2 as a casual game much more than I did D1, but I don’t really have the same kind of memories that D1 gave me. P.S. I’m not much of a PvP guy. Most of my experience comes from PvE. I don’t hate it, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

you will be very disappointed as a former D1 player , just saying everything has been made worse compared to D1 and the game is infested with microtrasnactions now

I'm sure you'll enjoy D2, especially if you're new to it. I would suggest taking your time and just try and enjoy the game for what it is and what content there is. I would also suggest not purchasing any micro transactions but that is obviously your choice.

Game's in a rough spot, and these forums are extremely toxic. People are NOT happy with Bungie right now (Understandably). Personally, I came here to shit on them as well. Moving on from that, your best bet is to go to the clan recruitment area on the forums. You won't really get any hits this way. But, a good clan will definitely help you out. I'd offer, but I'm on PC. Best of luck to you!

6 RepliesD2 is in a bad spot right now I'd say just play casual and enjoy it slowly and dont go spending money on it yet because i can tell you right now there are no end game glorious memories to be made unfortunately

There are many new features u can add shaders to weapons armour get weapon Mods counterbalance was very desirable Perk in d1 now u can if u got that mod apply it to any gun, there are many new functions dive in and see u can fast travel to anywhere no more bk to orbit then go were ever
