Even streamers are complaining about the trials population lol
Top players complaining about trials population being low already is the funniest thing I've been seeing. Because now you all see that its not as popular as you all think. You wanted a sweet mode now you have you're exclusive club and us average players are not playing it anymore.
Now you're crucible playlist made for you is about to die off and you all said if we're not good enough go play something else. Guess what we have and we're no longer your cannon fodder for easy wins. Suck it up and deal with the fact we're not enjoying players stomping on us anymore every dam game.
If trials dies it all on you for the way you all rub it in our faces about going flawless 40+ times in one weekend and the 99% of the playerbase wont ever go once its a hope less situation for us.
Im ok with never going flawless and im ok with your playlist going away because it's all toxic anyways. No one wants to play the 1% of those god tear players and no one wants your influence on this game anyway.
What we want is fair matchmaking and enjoy the games we play not get stomped every time we step into a crucible match.
Trials needs to go away away and stay away or make it fare for everyone to play not just the streamers or elitist players. You all have made your bed without ever considering that maybe the casual player base is the reason this game mode was to stay alive. Now you all are crying that there are not enough casual players in the game mode. We'll were not coming back and nothing you do out side of making a flawless only que matchmaking for those that have already gone flawless that weekend will bring us back.
Hope you all enjoy trials now because it wont last if us casual player stay gone and the population stays so low its not worth bungies time to invest in that mode any more.

I'm going to be honest. I played trials for one weekend back in D1. I loved that weekend. I was hoping that with it coming back I would get to play it again... NOPE! My opinion is that power levels are the problem in trials. Everyone needs to be the same power so that the matches play around how skilled you are. Even add loot for losses, I don't care. I'm just tired of getting pubstomped and getting no loot.

I don't see the sweats complaining, it's still the "averages" moaning. Funny how that still is. That being said, they still need to look at trials tho. Not much to go for after the title.

5 RepliesAt least people like mtashed are agreeing with casuals that the system needs to be changed to incentivise sweats to sweat instead of giving them a good reason to farm casuals in the fews 3 games over and over hopefully with casuals and sweats both making the same point bungie will actually listen i doubt it could even take that long to patch either

Yes, they thought that Trials was going to bring in a bunch of feeders that were going to stick around and be fodder for their highlight montages. Since comp went SBMM they all bailed and went to QP to sweat. Chased the casuals there into the other playlists or out of crucible all together. Now they are complaining that they are sweating it out. Card reset farming, chased the feeders away ...again. Raid gear should always be the pinnacle of weapons and armor, which leads to the utmost need of separating PVE and PVP. Why Luke Smith doesnt get this is mind blowing, considering he is a big WoW fan. In WoW, It used to be PVE weapons weren't as good as PVP weapons in PVP and vice versa. Due to an resilience modifier in PvP and the lower DPS output in higher end raids when using PvP gear. PvP geared players for the most part, wouldn't get accepted beyond LFG raids. But Bungie.....smh.

At least the D1 loot pool was big enough to offer rewards on bounties, & adept weapons at win 7 Why isn’t Bungie trying to get Destiny 2 on the VAC (Valve Anti Chest) system over STEAM ...VAC seems to be quick to catch cheats & getting accounts banned from 1 game gets a ban from the others on VAC servers https://support.steampowered.com/kb/7849-RADZ-6869/

A nice way to increase the population would be by removing power matter from trials. This would give everyone who owns destiny a chance to go in and give their shot at trials.

Edited by Entium: 4/1/2020 1:53:45 PMOddly enough Streamers don't even look at the numbers, this season, https://steamcharts.com/app/1085660 did nothing for Destiny 2 numbers, trails didn't even matter even at release, I guess they are more interested in click bait then anything else PVP is not an important part of why Destiny 2 makes Bungie money, I wish streamers would ACTUALLY do their do diligence and understand they are nothing to Bungie and I would wish Bungie would do their due diligence and stop worrying about streamers. They are crap, PVP is crap, there is nothing for an END GAME PVP, it makes no money for Bungie. The entire PVP fan base, makes nothing for Bungie. Well let me rephrase that, makes very little for Bungie.

34 RepliesThe game mode wasn’t made for everyone to go flawless. The point of trials is a tournament system. This post is like going into a tournament and then complaining the team you faced was too good. Pinnacle pvp is not supposed to be a participation award. However I do see a problem in the system we currently have. You need 3 wins to get a reward, and with the 3 win grinding going on it’s too difficult for some to get rewards. The best way to combat this is to do away with tokens completely. Right now it’s more rewarding to grind tokens at low games than to go flawless. If we move the old bounty system from d1 into this game, it helps out the casual players greatly. You don’t need to win games, you just need to play and you can get rewards. The second part to this is adept weapons. If there are adept weapons, people have a reason to go flawless, and not just stay at low games and farm those bounties I just mentioned. I think this would be the best way to help both casual and hard core players a like.

Trials is the reason I came back to Destiny, alongside most of my friends list. I would occasionally hop on just to see if anyone was down for comp and would be lucky to have one or two people, but now I’m reconnecting with people I haven’t played with since D1. Bringing trials back is the best thing I could have asked for, and hopefully with time more people will hop in and it will become populated again and the average player will have a shot at going flawless. If u are frustrated with crucible, just practice more and eventually u wont be “cannon fodder.”

Honestly though, why can't we just get fun modes like big team battle or infection or griffball? This isn't a job it's a game, people play it to have fun (or they should).

Your whole opinion is toxically based on some preconceived opinion you have of streamers, you seem to have some giant hate towards them for whatever reason. I agree the MATCHMAKING is poor, it's nothing at all to do with streamers and to get to the pinnacle of a pvp experience you have to expect to play good players, the matchmaking for the early matches is the issue, the first 3 matches on cards are the sweatiest of all. Too many recoveries, paid carries and bots are farming the game mode, until there's some kind of proper bot protection, recoveries are actually outlawed, bans are given and the issue with matchmaking is dealt with, it will remain a problem, streamers are seen as the most vocal because they have a following and their opinion is aired to those followers and caught on video. In Destiny 1 there were obviously far less cheaters and paid recoveries were less rampant and so it was easier to go flawless and enjoy the experience, on pc things have changed and Bungie have failed to change with it, not streamers. The matchmaking needs a lot of work, it does not appear to match by wins on the card properly and those who go flawless over and over and continue their card should be separated somehow from the pool of non flawless players.

One of the grossest things about the game is the loot system. Pathetic rewards for a ton of work. PvE or Trials, it doesn't even matter. Sweaty players are indeed going against sweaty players like they wanted and Rasputin is still dropping poop as rewards. Right now is the best time to play other games.

Just get better at pvp stop being bad dumb dumb :P if you cant hit the broadside of a barn you dont get the loot simple
