Hi there. Players can make a Bungie profile with any name, and it can be different from their gamertag. Where are you looking at these stats?

On the website Bungie.com I’ve never played this game but it’s saying I’ve got stats when you look my new gamertag up and I made a Bungie.com account linked my Xbox live account to see if it would fix but it didn’t

Can you change your settings to show your Xbox account link publicly so I can see? Also if you could give me a link or screenshot of where it's saying you've got stats, that would be helpful. I suggest using Imgur or Twitter to host the image and post the link to it.

My guess is someone had my gamertag before and it isn’t refreshed?

Edited by GrundleBeans: 3/31/2020 12:41:18 AMAfter doing a little digging, I learned that since mid 2019, Xbox has allowed gamers to claim the same gamertags. When looking up the name on Xbox's website, I see there are 2 separate profiles with that name. If you need help with gamertags you would need to contact Xbox Support. Bungie has no control over Xbox accounts. As for your Bungie profile, there is no issue with you starting to play D2 at any time with your own characters. Your profile does not conflict with someone else and it doesn't look like anyone has used or linked to your Xbox account and you are just seeing someone else with the same gamertag as you.
