Suddenly low fps in Destiny 2

Hello! I recently started getting low fps in Destiny 2. It started after my game crashed and i got a so called "multicoloured screen of death", after a gambit match my game froze for like 5 secs and then i got a static image with all colours imaginable, then tthe screen went black and my computer rebooted and that was that. After that i can't seem to get an acceptable framrate. when i am in orbit it alright though (between 90 and 150 fps) but whenever i go in the tower or play pvp or pve its always somwhere between 40-60 fps. Before the crash i used to have 80-120 fps in pvp or pve. This is happening to only destiny 2, all my other games work fine with 100 or more fps. My specs are: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz RAM 8 GB GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 What i have tried so far is changing settings in the nvidia control panel, deleting the cvars file, changing settings in game, validated steam files, ended the gamebar process (increased my fps by like approx 10 fps), updated drivers. Is there anything else i can try?

  • just pitching in here because I have had a similar issue. in my case I recently updated a software (corsair Icue in my case) and it caused serious drop in frame rate. I would see if perhaps rolling back recently updated software helps at all. the multi colored screen thing though makes me concerned it could be hardware related. but thats a worst case scenario.
