I can see how it could create issues down the line. But man a nerf directed at speed runners always felt weird. Sword skating hurt the average player in no way. Didn’t ruin world firsts for raids which you could argue is the sole place a speed advantage could grant a tangible reward. It did make warlocks and swords good in weird way. I’d like to see them add an exotic with an “unintended “ bug that re enables a movement ability if done perfectly very similar to what we once had but for all characters maybe. Maybe let mountaintop grenade hopping come back but that one I can see creating more issues since it would just let you climb up and over so many things, which would mean they could build encounters in the future around the fact that players can just climb up and over shit or just fix that bug. Fun as -blam!- bug for sure but one took work and the other didn’t so I can’t blame them. I would like to see it come back as it never seemed to be used to truly exploit anything of value, or broke anything in a way that hurt the game. Maybe they did it because something coming would be ruined by it? Like the rigs nerf for that new public event thing we got. Idk just an idea cause I really don’t see why else they’d do it

  • Tesseract wasnt used for world first. Mainly because the speed of a world first comes from who understands the strat. And you tesseract when you know everything in the raid. When you discover it you dont wanna skip everything and miss something important and you dont really know where to tesseract. Also, you dont know when you are going to need your weapons.. The reason of this nerf is probably somewhere in luke smith tiny head, he wants us to play how he sees the game even tough he do not play it that much. This guy is a shame for the game and the studio. I tell you, the day this guy gets corona, gets replaced or just get fired. The game will come back to a good year of content like it was in y2. Y3 is a pure failure in everyway. I cant find a single thing that was other than mediocre at best. -exotic weapons and gear : bad to mediocre. -quests : poor design. -activities : meh lame (with the sundial that wasnt that bad) -the "huge" shadowkeep dlc was a scam, nothing else, nothing more, as it was a ctrl+v of the d1 moon with nothing new on it, and the loots were...ahem...non existent. -sandbox changes are all designed to make us feel less powerfull, have less fun,and force us to play how they want to (please autos are meta...the only times since d1 y1 when autoriffles are meta...its always because the rest is bad) The game is going back to a dark age...d2y1 2.0...aka "lets move somewhere else for a moment" Im doing good on my lovely d1 tower :)

  • I feel like you didn’t even read my comment lol. But sandbox changes happen because things are broken. It’s funny how when something is outrageously broken it’s fine to fix it but when it’s just plain overpowered it’s bad to adjust it.
