I know. Had a similar thing happen to me about a year ago but that got resolved as a wrongful ban. I'm also genuinely curious as to how the ban even hit us instead of the cheaters.

The person at Bungie HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. If you pray hard enough maybe just maybe the person that runs the BNGSecurity account will care enough to give you an extremely vague reason as to why a punishment was issued. The chances of that happening are slim to none. (SUSPENSIONS are not included.) https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 But know that the chances of it actually getting reversed are MINISCULE. having consistently terrible internet connection that it affects OTHERS players and not just yourself. You may be playing fine. But to others you may appear as an unkillable red-bar. (This 95% of the time cause Restrictions) Are you hardwired or using WiFi? What are your tested network stats? Up AND down speeds? Ping? Latency and jitter? Packet loss, etc? Ok thank you. I would still like to know at least how I apparently broke the tos or rules. I admit to leaving rumble and control matches if I spawn into a losing team or I'm having a bad day, negatively impacting others. But I've never done that in comp or trials.

I´m waiting for the answer to the appeal. I read soome of the other posts who tried to appeal and apparently all of those with connection issues got notifications etc in-game I haven´t had that. thank you for your help though, I´ll just wait for bungies answer. also ps, the restricted items have me shaking my head too. restricted are the new trials emblems, the trials emblems from year one, my trials ghostshell from flawless year 1, the new trials gloves, the new trials weapons and the not forgotten. somehow the old trials ghost is restricted but not the old trials weapons and armor. somehow the not forgotten is restricted but redrix´s, revoker, recluse etc aren´t. I don´t really get it tbh
