This proposed "Weapon Retirement" is borderline anti-consumer

Theres honestly not much else I can say about this that hasn't already been said by a large and vocal portion of the community as of today. This sucks... and we, as a community, do not want this change. The inability to infuse weaponry up to the current power level after a certain period of time (9 - 15 months) infringes upon the players direct incentive to even play the game - the loot. Not only would this change theoretically negate player accomplishment, making it impossible to viably and competitively use weaponry that has been capped in future, high-power activities, but it would also eliminate any sense of player choice and freedom in allowing players to use the weaponry that they, the player, wants to use. I know that the gear isn't being removed from the game completely, but in a game like Destiny you might as well have just removed it anyway, because removing infusion will, albeit in time, have the same effect. That being said, I want to comment on something I haven't seen talked about yet - Ornaments, both for our older exotic and legendary weapons... just what exactly will become of them? I bought all of my ornaments with my real and hard earned cash going as far back as vanilla, for weapons I liked and used a lot - and presumed I would always be able to use in the future. I would not have bought half of the ornaments I purchased had I known I wouldn't be able to viably use these weapons anymore in the endgame - essentially negating mine and everyone else's purchases. Therefore, I can't help but say that this really feels borderline anti-consumer. We use these weapons because they are better than the trash that gets implemented now (season pass weapons), and we buy ornaments for these weapons because we use them a lot and we want them to feel unique and individualized - like they are our own. This "weapon retirement" system just feels like a big punch in the gut for me, and I'm sure many others, who have been playing Destiny 2 since the beginning. I just want to see this game thrive. Please Bungie, listen to the community on this one and make things right.
