No, it's a legendary. Why would it accept exotic ornaments?

Its more of a question to see what people think. There are legendary weapons that also have their own ornaments so it kind of seemed odd that the Mark II couldn't use the Polaris Lance ornaments since they both come from the same Quest and I pretty much the same except for one being an exotic version and one being a legendary version.
