You can still use the old ornaments: you just have to pull the original armor from your collections - no its not 2.0 armor but it's still available

Functional stats don't matter is open world and you probably could get by in quick play too - you want optimal performance, yeah use new armor - want to wear some old armor while dicking around in patrol or strikes knock yourself out
