This is how I was introduced to the game in D1. It was awesome to have a veteran show me the ropes. Thoroughly enjoyed tagging along behind him and his friend, listening to them discuss different elements in the game.
Definitely a positive thing in the game.

This kind of experience is exactly what I was referring to :) Destiny has a "I was there when.." appeal, and what could be better than being introduced to the game by a veteran player to make you feel right at home!

Yep and to be honest, had I just started and tried to figure it out on my own, I’d have a completely different perspective of the game now. That first experience was a defining moment of what a “Guardian” is supposed to be.
had I just started and tried to figure it out on my own, I’d have a completely different perspective of the game now.
I've just heard a lot of confusion and disappointment from fresh New Light players about the experience, and you can only make one first impression. This is a game built for communities, friends, and fun. I think it would be a great feature to return to make sure we're taking care of our new Guardians!

It’s definitely a lot for new players to take in. I mean I’ve only been back in D2 for about a month or so (haven’t played since release) and I’m still trying to get it all together. lol

When regular players take a few months off and are lost I cannot imagine what a New Light player feels like.
