*with a flash and a bang I appear... somewhere in the area holding a bottle of Dk. Pepper*
...whaaaaa-
/whyyyyy? I thought you were over randomly pushing the buttons!/
sorry! they just looked extra shiny today
/thats the soda you spilled on them!/
oh... makes sense. anyways.
where the heck are we and what's going on...
*I descend deeper with my daggers*
/why are we automatically going deeper?/
im bored
/... yeah, same./
English
-
*As you descend, you notice the wall shifting and moving, like it's alive. A single vine begins to wrap around your left ankle!*
-
oh. well if its going to be that way. lets "speed" things up /wait, no don-/ *I use one of the daggers to cut the vine off my leg and out it back in the bag...* /no, take that back out. I condone most the things you do, but this is too far/ Its too late now! /no it's n-/ *...then, with my other knife in hand, I push off the wall and start, descending, at a faster pace.*
-
*Your speed rapidly increases... about 2 miles to the bottom*
-
/GREAT! you got a plan on how we're gonna slow down and not kill ourselves?/ Yeah /tell me/ well w- hmm... we... ... ...mother- /yeah. mother./ [it seems I have not come up with something yet... heh] *I spread out my arms and cloak to slow my fall ever so slightly* /at least its something of extra time.../ so... odds? /pain/ oh...
-
*You slow a little, but continue to approach terminal velocity. Sounds of battle echo from below*
-
oh hey! a battle! /yeah thats nice and all, but we're still falling/ how about a grand entrance? /yeah, like splatting on the floor in a puddle of DEAD/ oh stop, I've finally thought of somet- /good idea../ well alright then. *I start freezing the air below me to create multiple frozen discs of ice about 3 inches thick connected at the edges by thin pillars reaching to the bottom so they don't just fall with me.* perf- *I begin smacking into them and breaking them, slowing my descent gradually* ow ow ow *they become 6 inches thick* OW OW OW
-
*This ludicrous scheme works, although you take 23 points of bludgeoning damage going through them*
-
how much would a normal sword do, and then how much would a bullet do also... is this based on D&D stats for reference cause I never decided on current hitpoints or anything
-
A greatsword does 2d6 slashing damage, I'd say a bullet is like a D10, maybe D12 for a handcannon
-
so, after some careful thinking, I decided to make a dud character, max it out, and I came up with HP of 202 (this was a 20d6 with other stuff) so I've come to the consensus it'll be: HP: 180 (15d12) AC: 18 *disadvantage to everything not bludgeoning lest it be a crit. roll and immunity to psychic damage stats: STR: 19 (+5) DEX: 16(+3) CON: 18(+4) INT: 16(+3) WIS: 8(+0) CHA: 17(+3) which was made on the spot judging on my current character and behavior, plus im not sure if things should be added but whatever!
-
Looks good! I'd have to look it over later to hammer out kinks but that should work great!
-
So, wait, is his health 180, then? ‘Cause Titan’s at 150, and Descendant’s at 200+.. Maybe I should just buff Mira’s HP some. She’s not a tank, but also not a wimp. What would you say is a deceny HP total?
-
It depends. The Descendant’s basically a god, so he’s wack. Titan is half dragon or has some dragon thing going on. Sumpig i need to look over. And we probably should give Mira a buff
-
She’s a fish girl, not sure if that’d modify her STA any (I based her on a hybrid between Dagonians and Zora). Back home she was a petty thief, stealing food out of stalls & stuff, but nothing high profile. This brought her into a few small scuffles with police & stuff, but she usually relied on distract & evasion, rather than pure assault. She has had to fight off the occasional underwater predator, but she lives near the shore, so nothing crazy. Before coming here, she was briefly part of Beldam’s “hero agency”, though they never did anything crazy. She’s a small build. That’s everything I can think of that might modify her HP total. I have her at 40 right now—what might you recommend?
-
I think her HP makes sense. She’s not a very thick build. To make up for it though she might want to get armor or maybe magic to increase her armor class, more of a glass cannon or stealth build.
-
She can’t wear armor. She needs loose clothing so her gills don’t get clamped. Maybe I could give her a passive water barrier, though? She had one for the boss fight, but I had it as a heavy water use. Maybe she could find an enchanted necklace or something? Nudge nudge, wink wink.
-
That’s the problem with Poly: anything anyone finds in there they won’t trust. You could try cutting off a piece of Poly’s scales and making something out of it, but it might whisper every night or something. I need to work on loot.
-
I saw somebody pick up a fragment of the crystal heart, and Dislay said that it still had some magic in it, with very vague implications of what that meant. Is it possible it could attune to Mira’s aquamancy, maybe? Or would it still be corrupted?

Also, I don’t think you need to offer any loot normally. The characters are built with their own gear.
-
Possibly. I’d ask Dally about that. It does feel nice to earn something from completing a difficult encounter, but I can see your point. Giving them more is difficult since they have everything.
-
If you’re wanting to give someone loot, you can probably work with them to see what kind of thing they’d want. Like, it wouldn’t make sense to give Mirabelle some sort of water breathing item, because she can already do that, and Slayer probably wouldn’t need a larger-but-somehow-not-heavier water bottle. I’m still on the side of no loot, though.
-
perfect! I may have to make a more fleshed out D&D type stat thing... >:D I didn't have much to do this week anyways!
[anyways!] *I land on my feet as I reach the ground* there! that wasn't so bad! /we've got 5 new bruises/ at least it ain't broken ribs! *I look around*
-
*Titan enters the boss room door! Will you follow?*
-
oh hey, big door. must mean boss room. let's go! *I follow titan as I unsheathe my sword*
-
okay... *goes onto D&D beyond* one moment
-
*The woman is knocked out temporarily, the crystal hear is healing her to full health.*
