(Back when you saved Mirabelle from falling) Mirabelle looks up at you, tears from her yellow eyes streaming down her blue-scaled face. “You saved me?” She asked with genuine surprise in her voice.
-
“Why wouldn’t I? Well, technically, he (the descendant) saved you.”
-
“Because, I’m...” She pauses, and wipes the tears from her eyes. She opens her mouth to say “Thank you”, but the words that come out are so quiet you can barely hear them. She reaches to put her hood on only to realize she didn’t have it. She must’ve lost it during the fall—she couldn’t hide her face anymore.
-
“You seem ashamed?”
-
“And why wouldn’t I be? I’m a freak..” She says.
-
“You only believe that because that’s what you’ve been told. I’m pretty sure they’re just saying that to feel better about themselves. Don’t listen to them; they want to you be ashamed.”
-
“That’s easy for you to say, when you-“ She paused, and folded her arms. “Look, I don’t need the ‘your powers are a gift’ talk from you.. I hear it enough at home..
-
“Meh, fair enough. See you at the bottom. Maybe.” I jump down.
-
*You're uncertain. Time is of the essence though...*
-
My siva forms a new grappling hook, and I begin to make my way down.
-
*You begin the Descent, and notice the wall moving and reacting to your movements.*
-
I noticed that health points are a thing. What’s the average amount of health?
My siva armor tenses, attempting to prepare for a fall, and I tighten my grip, as I continue more slowly.
-
I'd say you'd be about a 10th-lvl fighter, so 95ish hp
*The wall doesn't attack, but continues to shift and move. You descend slower, and see an outcropping roughly 35ft below you.*
-
I use the rest of my rope, (5/10ft) and let go. I use my lift to direct myself towards the outcropping, and soften my landing.
-
*You land safely, and notice Mirabelle fall from above towards your outcropping. She might go headlong into the abyss if no one helps her...*
-
I send nanites to create another web, and extension of the outcropping, with nanite-made support beams. A swarm of nanites goes to slow her fall, also.
-
*You don't catch Mirabelle, but you make a safe landing for the Descendant as he warps and catches her. However, as soon as the three of you are on the outcropping, the living, vines and fibers of the floor begin to retreat into the wall.*
-
The nanites detach from the outcropping, and wall, and hover in place. Struggling to hold everybody’s weight. I give the other two, 2 orbs of energy, in case they’re needed. I run in the opposite direction of the wall, and jump, keeping my distance in case there are more outcroppings. Using a short sonar pulse occasionally, so hopefully see any that are below.
They’re basically ender pearls
-
Copy that. They may malfunction due to Powy's magic, but they should be useful
*You leap, and detect more outcroppings. The light seems faint at the bottom, but the shadows and murky air give you a sense that somethings not right...*
-
I have my lift standing by, in case of emergency. Where’s everybody else?
-
*Tilman suddenly disappears about 150 feet below you, the Descendant is further down as well as Blaze, who's about to bite the dust...*
-
I continue falling, but a little faster. Who’s Blazes partner?
-
(Alucard, I don't think he's here yet) *You speed up a bit*
-
My orbs are on cooldown, so I’m just going to have to wait this out until I get to the bottom.
It’d be a shame for him to get on just to find out, “Btw you’re dead”
(Yeah... about that...)
