Their blog post about the issue was pretty interesting, like after the last update they did a band-aid while working on a permanent fix. But manual reboots on some crashed servers at reset caused the band-aid fix not to be applied to them. In the grander scheme of things a permanent fix will be applied soon and one issue causing a rollback in 6 years isn't bad really.

  • I read that and found it pretty interesting. If not all of the WorldServers are getting the proper updates, I can definitely see that being a problem. As of right now, who knows, but it could've been causing a lot more problems than we realize.

  • Actually there have been many issues of people loosing stuff. However, because it only affected a few at a time Bungie 100% just ignored the issue. Back in D1 exotics would go missing at the end of raids etc etc. You would literally see the text of so and so got Gally. Then that person would not have the weapon either in their post master or on character. Bungie response was nu uh didn't happen. Video shows it and then response would be oh must have accidentally deleted it yourself blah blah blah. I guess this is just the snowball finally getting too big to ignore.
