An Adventure in the Multiverse: Part 3

Robo wakes up and notices he’s been tied to a chair. He looks around the space and sees two people, one of them is a large man that has steam coming off his body and the other is a woman that changes colors every time she moves, wearing a dress made of crystals. They are talking to each other. “You remember your role with parade security? We need you to get the guards away from the floats,” the woman said. “Yup, just gotta steam up the place to distract ‘em,” he says while picking up a small stone, “It’ll be easy.” The stone turns to vapor in his hands. He notices that Robo is awake, and speaks to the woman, “The prisoner is awake Suz.” “Yeah, I’m awake. You mind telling me what you’re doing in these tunnels?” Robo asks, “Or why you have me tied up?” The woman replies, “You're tied up because you caught us planning. You don’t need to know anything else.” “Oh thanks, that explains a lot,” Robo says sarcastically, “Do you want to tell me what I know about these aforementioned plans?” “Hmm… no. You can just sit here and wait,” the pair move out into a tunnel, leaving Robo tied to the chair. ~~~~~ Daliah s walking down the tunnels towards the room Robo was knocked out. Once she enters and she sees a square tunnel in the wall that was strangely out of place. She starts to walk through and sees some small holes in the wall, about an inch in diameter, that contain glimmering crystals. Dahlia grabs a small knife with a simple engraving on it from her pocket and tosses it towards the crystals. They launch from their spots in the wall and stab into the wall with enough force to make it crack. “Okay. That’s gonna hurt if I get hit,” she mumbles while slowly moving to grab the knife. She sees another set of crystals in the walls ahead so she prepares to throw the knife as far as she can. “Time to test my throwing arm…” She tosses the knife and it triggers all the traps in the tunnel ahead. She cautiously heads through the tunnel and arrives in the room with Robo. “Hey, can you help me out here? I’m really stuck.” Robo says. Dahlia begins to cut the ropes with the family knife. “So… how did you wind up tied up down here?” Dahlia asks, “I saw you drop down and heard a clang so I followed you.” “Well once I reached a room towards the end of the tunnel I saw a map of the parade route and then I got hit in the head by something heavy. Now I’m here tied to this chair.” Dahlia finishes cutting all the ropes and Robo tells her about the strange pair and how they’re planning something at the parade. “So we have two criminals with Epithets planning on messing with the Founding Day Parade. We’ve got our work cut out for us,” Dahlia says. “Yup,” Robo replies, “First let’s get out of these tunnels.” (End of part 3)
All credit for the Epithet system goes to JelloApocolypse!

Special thanks to Afios and Azraphel for all the constructive criticism and support!
The young girl reaches her hand up towards the sky, silhouetting it against the pale light of the moon. "It's human.." She said quietly to herself. "You're human.." She closes her eyes, and a cold breeze blows past. She focuses on the chilling bite of the wind, and the way her pale hair gently strokes her neck as it gets blown forwards. These were normal things. Things that normal people felt.. Right? She opened her eyes, only to see another one staring back at her, its piercing red gaze shooting out from the back of her hand. Shadows crept out from beneath her feet, writhing, and squirming, until they stitched themselves together into a wicked smile covering the breadth of the rooftop beneath her. "You can play make believe all you want." She said again, this time her voice echoing in on itself, as though hundreds of people were all speaking at once. "But you know that deep down inside, you'll always be a monster." IRIS Epithet: Amorphous Has no definitive form, and can change the shape of both herself, and everything around her into basically whatever she wants. Stamina: ??? Proficiency: -MAX- Creativity: -MAX- The eye on her hand closed, and the mouth on the ground was pulled back into the bottoms of her feet. She stared out at the nighttime city, and let out a quiet sigh. "I guess it's my turn, now." She said, as her body twisted and contorted itself in unnatural ways, deteriorating into a writhing mass of shadows, that began to melt into the stone beneath what was once her feet. Then, she was gone. Or rather, she appeared to be gone. In truth, she was still there, as a thin web of invisible strings, stretching all over the city. She was everywhere, all at once. Watching everyone, and everything.
Sorry, not trying to hijack the post, I promise! Wanted to share this somewhere, and my Epithet Erased campaign won't be encountering this character for a long while! Well, that's a lie. She's literally everywhere. But, like, they won't know that, and they won't meet her face to face for a while!
