What's the point in this?
Personally, I think it's a fascinating look into how much film marketing has changed in the last 20 or so years. For better, and for worse, they don't make trailers like that anymore. Nowadays, you can pretty much tell what a movie is about, and how its gonna end just from watching a trailer or two. I dont remember ever seeing the above trailer ( which I think reveals quite alot about the plot ). From what I remember, the marketing for this film was very, very, vague ( at least in Europe ). Noone knew what "The Matrix" ( the film ) was actually about, we just knew that it was a film that we had to see due to all the hype of word of mouth ( back in those days, it was very common for movies to come out in America weeks/months before they were released in Europe ). And everyone I knew walked into this movie completely blind, and walked out of the cinema with their minds completely blown.
