I think a high loss of motes is an option. I also think that if you limit the invasion to one each team member would be a good idea too. The same person can't continuously invade. Or have a cycle through mechanic. The invaders MUST take turns.

    If same person can’t invade, then you take away specific roles. There is a reason why armor isn’t tailored to specific roles, to influence players to take those roles. Even in normal Gambit, roles are essential to success.

  • Adds a challenge. Wait your turn and make the most of your invasion. If you can just repeatedly jump through, what's the point in that. Losing more motes and adding to the challenge is what most people are talking about... Read through the thread.

  • I did read through, did you??! Lol. Maybe you missed my agreement on another comment on motes being needed to bank before that invader can invade. Doh.

  • I wouldn't mind that, like a Gambit Prestige, it's the same as Gambit but with other things that alter its core mechanics; but it would only work for Gambit and not Gambit Prime, since in Prime fireteams usually designate an invader.
