I agree it can be a rush that some people like, but others don't like that same thrill. It's not so much the invasion mechanic that's the problem, and I agree that it would be difficult to maintain a fun gamemode without an invader, which is why it's actually the PvP mechanic that I'm trying to have removed, not the invader itself. This is why I'm trying to think of other ways the invader can still participate in affecting the opposing team in a fun immersive way without actively hunting and killing them.
