Not necessarily. We’d need to go to the deep stone crypt on Enceladus to do it. Exo mind wiping is probably a less complex sequence compared to bringing someone back without the use of a ghost; if possible at all. I mean, if Cayde’s original human body is still in tact and provided human to exo mind swapping isn’t a one time thing; then we could use that original version of his mind to bring him back; but I really doubt Clovis Bray kept his body. And even if we could, it wouldn’t be our Cayde. Heck it wouldn’t even be an exo cayde. It would be a template from before his transfer. Honestly I don’t see Cayde coming back outside of dialogue from the past like recordings. And we also don’t know that bungie are saving the hunter vanguard spot being filled for a point later on.

I mean his Exo body when he got shot at the Prison of Elders.. Anyone knows where that body is? Cayde could easily have uploaded one version of his consciousness in the Deep stone Crypt or maybe found there his first version that they used to make him an Exo in the first place..

And I also doubt that Clovis Bray kept back ups of memories to avoid exposure. His body was definitely recovered and if the funeral of Ulan Tan is anything to go off, it was probably buried in a funeral fashion. The only chance we’d have is to see if his human body survived, which I bet is unlikely.

Don’t you find it extremely weird that we don’t have the slightest clue where his Exo body is? No funeral nothing? The only thing we know for sure is that his ghost is dead.
