Hey there. You may want to verify the integrity of your game files in the Steam app to see if that may help with your issue. Here are a few more suggestions which may help with your issue:
1. Remove your CVARS.xml file to see if that helps. 2. Turn VSYNC on and/or off to see if that helps at all. 3. Some users have reported that lowering your clockspeed of your GPU may help with this. 4. Some users have reported that lowering their hz on their monitor has helped with this issue. 5. This player reported that removing Windows Gamebar has helped with this issue. 6. For AMD Radeon users, a player reported that editing their Radeon Gaming Settings and Shader Cache helped them. 7. You may want to try lowering your graphics settings and capping your FPS. 8. Try lowering your FOV 9. Do you have Nvidia GeForce Experience? Try to reset / optimize your game's graphics settings from that. 10. Change your Window mode to Windowed.
• It was 100% the shader caches being wonky/corrupted! I had a ton of 64 kb cache files. Thank you so much for linking that thread! If I could do more than click the up arrow once to thank you I would. To anyone else who finds this and has a similar issue, this fixed my problem: 1. Disable shader cache in Global Settings as well as shader cache under the Destiny 2 Radeon profile. 2. In Global Settings click refresh > shader cache (confirm yes). 3. Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AMD\Dxcache and delete all files here. 4. Restart 5. Enable shader cache in Radeon Global Settings and the D2 profile 6. Restart

 • Thank you for your reply! I have already tried many of these steps and found no success. The ones I have not tried I will attempt soon. 0: I've verified game files repeatedly and never found anything wrong. 1: I deleted all my Bungie-related AppData folders between each reinstall, did it again for kicks with no results. 2: I've tried both VSYNC on/off and with/without a framerate cap. No change. 3: Have not yet tried 4: I'm using a 60 hz monitor, so lowering the refresh rate seems not ideal. Not tried, though. 5: Disabled gamebar, no change. 6: This sounds very promising as I am running a Radeon RX480 and was having the exact same 'stutter at loading screen when hovering over character' issue they mentioned in the post. Will try. 7: I've put the game to lowest possible settings and experienced the same loading speed issues. 8: Have not tried 9: I do not have an Nvidia graphics card. 10: This issue has appeared consistently whether windowed or fullscreen.

 • Why would we play at lower graphical settings if we own a PC capable of running this two old year game at max settings ? Don't blame our config and fix your game instead.
