Luke Smith.. please step down! Enough is enough! You proved nothing to earn our trust and faith in destiny! Every single thing that made d1 great is left behind.. (factions, weapons, gears etc etc...

Factions didn't make destiny great at all. Click the button, watch the circle fill up. That was it.

Edited by Nicolas Cage's: 12/29/2019 10:43:36 PMYeah but if you got to rank 25, you were given a quest for an exotic class item. At least D1 has 2 exotic class items per class. D2 has none of that anymore. Actually it have may have been 3. No less than 2 either way.
-
And they did..? Oh right, practically nothing. They were a class item, but instead of purple, it was yellow.
-
Who cares? At least you got to wear a second piece of exotic amor that had perks that contributed to you build. D2 only allows 1 piece. To be able to add more unique perks via another exotic that can be worn with other exotics would help a lot of people with their D2 builds. If you think otherwise then you’re just a sad old turd 😗😗
-
You were given essentially a yellow sticker and felt good about it. The class items did less than a 5 energy armour 2.0 cloak.

Everything in D1 did less than a 5 energy 2.0 anything. Would be nice to see those cloaks return though.

Edited by ZayOsiris Gaming: 12/30/2019 8:36:39 AMGo back and play D1, for an entire month and ask yourself this: • Was D1 Really better than D2? • Does nostalgia play a huge part, in my opinion of both titles? • what has D1 specifically done better & how can it translate into the current sandbox of D2?
-
D1 has strike specific loot (some of them had multiple items you could get) that you got from a special chest with a special key. D2 has nightfall specific loot, that is shit in comparison and is only rewarded on an rng basis - the skeleton key loot was gaurenteed if you had a key, and you didn’t need to do a nightfall to get it. I prefer the way they handled that, that’s how it should have been in D2 from the start, or something similar.
-
Edited by ZayOsiris Gaming: 12/30/2019 8:44:45 AMI personally believe loot should differ, based on the difficulty of that strike / nightfall. For example: Warden Of Nothing • Strike Version: Shotgun • Nightfall: New Weapon Both options should have either a key function in place, or something you have to specifically fo in that strike. Like a scoring system. Reaching a certain score will guarantee you that drop, or greatly increase your odds of receiving it..! Do this across ALL strikes and boom, happy times.

If you think factions are what D1 "great," then you're an idiot. The gear in D2 is better. Period.
-
^^^ this guy is a complete buffoon and delirious... someone check his temperature
-
Correct You'd have to be sick to think that factions were the greatness factor
-
Some gear is better. Some of it isn’t. Period.
-
Nope. Mid tier damage weapons in D2 melt bosses like gjallarhorn/icebreaker did inD1. Top tier dps weapons melt faster.
Luke Smith.. please step down! Enough is enough! You proved nothing to earn our trust and faith in destiny!
You can't be serious.

You must be a brain dead zombie to sit there and defend luke smith.
-
Luke Smith has been in charge of this franchise since TTK. You haven't bought a single piece of Destiny content that hasn't gone through him, & you've been buying it for years, but I'm the braindead zombie.
-
Luke Smith is the only game dev I know to write a 3 part editorial on the state of their game and how they feel about it going forward. So yeah, I’m going to defend Luke Smith
-
Oh you mean where he said content making is hard? Keep defending
-
He gets credit for doing that, but to be honest it was streched out, often rambling and didn't touch on many of the core feedback issues the community has been talking about. Nice of him to try, but for me it missed the mark in a lot of ways.
-
He can write stuff about the games direction so that means he’s qualified and competent? Damn you’re easily pleased. Next time someone tells me they once wrote about how they picture air travel to progress, I’ll trust them to fly a plane...or maybe I won’t, because that would be stupid as hell.
