As others said: they are 100% talking about Ghaul. He was the Cabal emperor from the time of his and the Consul’s revolt until us and the Traveler defeated him. None of the Red Legiok consider Calus their leader, full stop.

And you are incorrect. Same challenge, new challenger. Dominus is as close to emperor as riding your bicycle is to ride a rocket to the moon. That is the best argument which has been made. Again: If you can point to a source where Ghaul is listed NOT as a field commander working on behalf of the consul? Who betrayed the emperor while he was in their presence and when he rose up to power allowed various groups to attempt to rejoin HIS fold (Nessus mission)? Calus is the only emperor. His foothold, in the raid with the ascendant plane shouldn't be possible and we have never seen him? For all we know, Calus wasn't exiled. His robots were. Another possibility: He didn't actually survive his trip when he met the darkness which is why he knows its actual power. I can understand you all WANT the red legion to say Ghaul was an emperor... but Ghaul was also not focusing on any title, but the Traveler... thus? Field Commander. One last thing. If you wish to use the, "Well everyone else believes this" argument? I will typically say that's only an emotional appeal. Not really an argument.

  • You have made so many mistakes in this post. You lack a basic understanding of Calus and what happened during the coup. Please re-read the lore, or pay better attention while you play. I’m not trying to insult you. You’re just really, really off on a lot of things here.

  • Sorry kiddo, but that was literally my advice to you. I can understand and see why a lot of young people seem to highlight their lives on not understanding as much as they can. Some like drugs and other things, but the notion of intelligence to place things within the radar of realism is something I've very rarely needed to check. Therefore, I need to ask you to open your mind up, re-read the lore, and while looking directly at the lore ask yourself why the pieces line up appropriately for some instances but are not working based on most "theories" which keep trying to rebuttal the more clear version of events.

  • The fact that you repeatedly dismiss adults in this thread as “young people” shows your problem: you believe you’re superior, and you assume people who disagree with you are wrong and necessarily inferior, chalking up them correcting you not to reality but to their inherent flaws. That’s a mistake. Just like you make fundamental mistakes in reading the lore. Be better.

  • The fact most "adults" as you call it are unwilling to realize they are wrong is something millennials do. That particular generational gap, not to say there isn't some in every generation, but to highlight the way of thinking, "I know what I know" rather than "Maybe this guy has it right as he is pointing out where he's getting this information" is basic psychological trauma from society. And yes, I recognize when I am wrong and when I am correct. But the loopholes are there so you DON'T know that Calus was actually exiled or the fact we never met him, but he wants us to become Shadows. Your "adults" are not adults. Not until they learn to accept they are wrong and that is ok. It's a video game. If you don't understand it? It's not the end of the world. But for those who took the time to piece the truth together? You need to listen. As for superior. Same saying from my old childhood: At the end of the chess game, the king and pawn go back into the same box. That pretty much sums up how I know I'm not. Lastly, no one has corrected a thing. A few postings from a single user or a small group could be one in the same person (not saying you are) based on public profiles which I don't need to entertain the possible notions of and even if you feel inferior? Perhaps that should be a good call for you to back out because I've provided a few references to source material for both lore and in-game dialogue. Most in-game mind you. Be better? You need to be better if you want this to continue.
