The entire reason the house of dusk was formed was to unite the fallen. Using a preexisting house to represent that is kinda dumb.

If you know Fallen Lore, it actually makes sense. House of Rain was the House that created the Kell of Kells prophecy. And what would the Kell of Kells do? Unite the Fallen Houses.

Unite the Fallen Houses.[/quote] Also in lore Variks is the only remaining fallen to remember the prophecy. It is revealed in his lore books. Also through scannables in the EDZ Devrim reveals that the fallen united out of desperation. Plus Osiris uses the word stole rather than used. So while it makes sense on paper ultimately Variks’ lore contradicts this theory.

Does prophecy have to be known about to be fulfilled?

Well at this point yes. Upon learning that the houses have united Variks tried to contact the House of Kings’ Kell, who was now the Dusk’s Kell, and tell him that he must become the Kell of Kells. However Uldren assassinated the Kell before Variks could do so.

I dont think Variks will take over the house of dusk, I think Variks will infilitrate and become a villain in the background similar to Savathun but closer to home. He will probably jack up a fallen with all the ether he took with him in order to make an ultimate kell as a figure head

From what we’ve read and seen so far if he is to join a house it will be the house of light. However he is most likely creating his own house.

That would be cool if he aided Mithrax but again. Since he basically screwed over the reef and the vanguard by inadverdantly killing Cayde I feel like he will become an Antagonist. Which we desperatly need since most of our villains do not actually have a character or any development at all to them. (Skolas, Crota, Hashladuun, etc.) Good villains consist of Oryx, Ghaul, aaaaand....... Consul(?)

They just lazily copy pasted the House of Dusk fallen and this is the second time they have done it, i'm honestly getting tired of it
