Getting the overlord to spawn isn't RNG, you had to kill every hydra before killing the Gate Lord during each warp gate phase. After killing the hydras then kill the gate lord, do this a couple times and it'll spawn like a heroic public event. Stop complaining, just watch Aztecross

According to several people there is also a glitch that causes overlords not to spawn on top of the RNG. I'm glad you got yours done, but I am making this post because bungie needs to never have any sort of RNG involved in limited time things. Because once it's gone it's gone and those who just had bad luck got their time and effort wasted.

My post was just for six hours straight in one place. I did every triumph required for the title in this last week and got two of the overlords, except for the hellmouth. I went to spawn the hellmouth one, and it wouldn't spawn. It went on like that for six hours. It shouldn't take six hours, I did like 25 vex invasions, to spawn an enemy I'm capable of killing by myself in literally two minutes. It was the last thing. I knew people who spent weeks trying to get them to spawn.
