I just turned 61, have been retired for the last 6 years, and have a nice monthly retirement salary and a swollen IRA (thanks POTUS). I originally only played Shadowkeep 4-5 hours for a few days after launch. I got to around level 26 or so prior to this past weekend, and yesterday. I really wanted to complete the levels for the exotic gear but obviously didn't have time.
So, I did what you all are going to hate, I paid over $80 to buy enough silver to purchase the remaining levels, and, I managed to finish the campaign as of 0100 this morning. I have to say it was one of the best campaign set of missions I've played in the Destiny universe. Bungie deserves a lot of credit for that. I was originally pissed off that they were rehashing the moon and the vex, but there's enough different atmosphere for me to have been very happy playing it.
This is just to show it's not kids or those that can't afford it that are affected by FOMO. It's kind of why we have game manufacturers who know how to "work" the players. I gladly handed over my cash and I got a lot of in-game "stuff" to play with. Nothing wrong with that.

Hey buddy, if you're on ps4 add me, and if theres anything you ever need in this next season, ill help you get it rather than you pay for it. I hate to see people forced to pay for shit

Thanks, but I'm on Xbox. I get so many offers like this but from people that are all on PS4. I knew I should have switched a few years ago, hahaha. Seriously though, thanks for the offer. I did feel guilty for a few minutes after spending the money, but the exotic weapons I got took the sting off a bit.

I feel no shame giving bungie my $

Hahaha, neither do I. It's cheap entertainment compared to everything else in the end. Not to say I don't complain a lot, but Destiny is still the game I come back to after playing most of the new ones.
