Why does it matter at all though if it's just a simulation in the Forrest?

Deterministic Universe. IOW, Vex simulations are so massive and thorough that they can explore all possible futures, if they dedicate enough processing power to it. So if all the simulations are leading to the same outcome....then we'd better pay attention because what they are saying is that (unless something magical/paracausal) happens, then the Dark Future is inevitable.

Idk if that sun dial thing is actually in the forest or on Mercury.. But I'll find out in 2 days so it's whatever to me.

The vex simulate possible futures. If they all share an outcome then we need to do something unpredictable quickly.

Because if the vex stimulation succeeds then the vex know how to beat us. We can’t let that happen. Real or virtual, all fronts are vital to a traveler victory.
