HELP! BUNGIE PARTIALLY DELETED MY ACCOUNT!!!!
During the most recent update I come back to my character. The game recognizes that I have (1) Hunter Character, prior to the update it showed me at 967 light, with many exotics, legendary weapons and gear, ghosts, sparrows you name it. Also my character showed 397 hrs played prior to the update.
After the update: it still shows I have a hunter, when I log in I have all starting game weapons and armor, no sparrow, and NO missions completed in my director, no items in my vault, the game says I have been playing for 1m37s.... yet when you look at my app or character screen I still have 200,000+ glimmer and all of my consumable items are still there from before.
NOTHING on this account was touched by an outside source.

Sorry bud. Your character was deleted and replaced with a default hunter. https://www.wastedondestiny.com/2_4611686018450687278 characters can only be created manually. Unfortunately, Bungie does not restore lost or deleted items or characters. 1 ReplyAccording to wastedondestiny.com, you have a deleted character with 396h logged hours. The only way that a character can be deleted is to do so at the character selection menu. Bungie doesn't delete characters or items, nor can any third party tool perform that action. Unfortunately, there is no recovery from this. Bungie does not offer lost item or character restoration services. This is detailed here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211 If you didn't delete the character yourself, someone else may have done it. Make sure that no one else has access to your account, and if you think they do update your passwords and enable two factor authentication.
